Why should I keep the symbols secret?
The symbols are sacred and personal. They are not to be shared or shown to others. Besides, the symbols get their power from your attunement, and do not have any innate power of their own. So it is quite a futile exercise to display them publicly, and it only reduces their meaning.

Can I use symbols even if I haven't been attuned to them?
The symbols taught in Reiki are not powerful by themselves. Some universal symbols are very powerful, such as Om and Swastik, and can be used by anyone since their power is innate. Reiki symbols are more like keys - you first need to have a lock that fits. Therefore, an attunement is necessary for you to be able to get full benefit. Also, you must use the symbol taught to you by your teacher, since this is the symbol which you have been attuned to.

Can I send distant Reiki using techniques you haven't taught?
Yes, you can. Whether it is a new technique which you learned elsewhere, or a new technique you developed/ discovered on your own, everything is fine as Reiki has no set rules. If it works though, do let us know as we'd like to pass on the info to our students!

I got a headache when I tried your third eye exercise, what went wrong?
You must stop the exercise the moment you feel any vibrations or feelings in your third eye. This is a very sensitive point and can cause problems if abused or overused.

Can I send Reiki to victims of natural calamities?
Ofcourse you can. The rule of permission and fee does not matter in problems of such great magnitude. Don't so many of us reach out through donations and sometimes even volunteering to help? Reiki will reach those who are truly in need and praying for help.

How can I enhance my Reiki power even more?
At any given point in time, you will have exactly as much power as you need. You have seen this already in miracles around you, when you are surprised at the speed and magnitude at which Reiki has worked/ healed. Chasing greater power is nothing but a function of the ego and is best avoided. When you need to use other tools to enhance your energy capacity, you will be guided to do so, you do not need to chase new types of books or classes for the same.

For relationship problems, is it ok if only one consents for healing?
Since any relationship problem involves 2 people, it is enough if even one consents or asks for Reiki healing. Whether you are healing your relationship with an unconsenting person, or whether a friend approaches you to heal his/her relationship with someone else, you do not need to take the consent of the other person involved. However, if it is possible, taking the consent of the second person will definitely heal the relationship faster and more easily.

How can I develop my intuition faster?
The best answer to this is a simple one - regular reiki practice. We have seen that people who practice Reiki twice a day progress at much more than double the speed, so if you are looking for faster growth, that would be the easiest and most effective option. Next, in order to develop your intuition, you must start observing yourself, and develop your listening skills. Intuition develops naturally and easily once this is diligently practiced.
